Marianne offers a warm and nurturing therapeutic environment, engaging clients through a collaborative, client-centered approach tailored to their unique needs. She embraces a holistic perspective, carefully considering the intricate interplay of psychological, social, cultural, biological, and spiritual factors in her clients’ lives. Attachment and polyvagal theories lay the foundation for her therapeutic work with individuals who suffer due to traumatic histories, a focus enriched by her graduate studies in intergenerational trauma transmission. An attachment lens allows her to explore clients’ histories illuminating how past relationships influence present experiences; whereas polyvagal interventions can enhance emotional regulation and resilience, fostering a vital integration of mind and body as clients navigate trauma recovery. She is particularly passionate about helping individuals who have experienced adverse childhood experiences, attachment injuries, and various forms of developmental trauma. Her warm and empathetic demeanor puts clients at ease, encouraging them to open up, embark on their journey of growth and healing, and rediscover hope and meaning in their lives.
Marianne serves a diverse clientele, including tweens aged 10+, adolescents, adults, elder adults, and couples. In her practice, she employs an eclectic therapy approach, integrating various therapeutic modalities based on each client’s specific needs. Her extensive specialized training encompasses a wide variety of modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), the Gottman Method for Couples, and clinical hypnosis. Additionally, she specializes in providing somatic and polyvagal interventions, along with play-based techniques for younger clients.
Marianne is well equipped to help individuals navigate and overcome their current challenges. With her wealth of experience, she is eager to support clients through life transitions, emotional dysregulation, self-esteem and identity issues, anxiety, depression, and life/death crises. Her deep understanding of the complexities faced by those experiencing body image and disordered eating informs her approach in shifting clients towards peace and transformation. Furthermore, she assists individuals navigating difficult or conflicted relationships, whether they involve separation, divorce, or parenting challenges.
