Jessica is currently a student completing her Master of Counselling degree through City University of Seattle. She is presently registered with the Psychologists Association of Alberta (PAA) and the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).  
 

She has over 5-years of experience in in-patient mental health settings. Additionally, she has experience with various forensics risk assessments and administering, scoring, and interpreting neuropsychological, intelligence, and personality assessments. Jessica also has experience working with teenagers, adults, and families with different neurological and developmental disabilities and high-risk children and youth.

She has a special interest in working with couples, families, and individuals of all ages with mental health concerns and disorders (E.g., anxiety, bipolar, schizophrenia, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, and the like), attachment issues, relational issues, trauma, abuse, anger, addictions, self-esteem related issues, supporting individuals with disabilities, immigration, work & life stress, and career counselling.  Her interest in work & life stress and career counselling stems from her experience working as a recruiter and an employment readiness specialist.

She uses a trauma-informed and strength-based approach. Additionally, she uses a variety of therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness techniques.  
 

She is also an EMDRIA approved Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist in training. 
 

Her certifications include but are not limited to: A somatic approach to working with trauma, brain story certificate, mental health first aid, nonviolent crisis intervention, ASSIST: Suicide intervention, safe talk: suicide alertness, trauma-informed care, psychological injuries in the workplace, workplace violence & harassment awareness. 
 

She offers sessions in-person, virtually, or over the phone and can support clients living in Edmonton or anywhere else across Alberta. 
 

Her availability is as follows: 

Monday and Tuesday’s (virtual) 12pm – 8pm (last booking at 7pm)

Wednesdays (in person) 12pm – 8pm (last booking at 7pm)

Thursdays (virtual/ in person) 12pm – 5pm (last booking @ 4pm)
